Spencer's Guide to Woking is an alternative and irreverent guide to the commuter town of Woking, as viewed through the eyes of Spencer a black cat. Here you will find guides to Woking pubs, curry and live music venues, and also Woking local news, shopping, parking and history. The best way to navigate this site is using the pop-up menus at the top left-hand corner (can't see them ? try clicking here), the following is an alternative listing of the available Woking information :-
Woking is a medium-sized UK town to the south-west of London (just outside the M25 orbital motorway). It has train connections with London Waterloo, Guildford, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, etcetera. Woking lies within the county of Surrey and is administered by Woking borogh council in Woking itself, and Surrey County Council (currently in Kingston-upon-Thames).
According to the borough council, Woking is "a thriving regional centre, a cosmopolitan community, the home of major business names, excellent transport links by road, rail and air plus convenient shopping, sparkling entertainment, active sports, relaxing countryside and interesting days out for all the family". Check out my guides to see if I agree.
